Returns / Exchange
At Wheelchair Empower, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied, you may return the product within 30 days (21 days for Journey Health & Lifestyle products) of purchase for a refund of the purchase price, minus any applicable shipping and handling costs and up to a 30% restocking fee, provided the following requirements are met:
Return Requirements:
- The product must be unused.
- The product must be returned in its original packaging.
- All parts, accessories, and paperwork must be included.
Note: Any item received more than 30 days from the date of purchase will not be accepted.
Return Authorization: You must obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number before returning your purchase. Email us at Returns@wheelchairempower.com to request an RA number and receive instructions on how and where to return your order. Please include a detailed explanation of the reason for your return.
Note: Customized products are not eligible for return.
Return Shipping: You are responsible for paying the shipping costs to return your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If we or the manufacturer cover the cost of return shipping, the cost will be deducted from your refund. When returning your product, please use a trackable shipping carrier or purchase shipping insurance, as you are responsible for any damage caused in transit. No refund will be issued for products lost by the carrier.
Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund. A credit will be issued to your original method of payment. Please note that the inspection time can take up to four weeks after it is received by the manufacturer, but it generally takes approximately 7-14 business days.
The refund amount will be for the total purchase amount minus any applicable shipping/handling costs and up to 30% restocking fee.
If five (5) business days have passed since receiving the return approval email and you have not received a refund, please contact your credit card company or bank, as they may have additional processing time that could delay your receipt of the refund. If you’ve completed all of this and still have not received your refund, please reach out to us at Returns@wheelchairempower.com.
Exchanges: Exchanges are generally only available if the product is defective or damaged upon delivery. If you need to exchange a product, please email us at Returns@wheelchairempower.com or call us at 888-712-0203. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs associated with the exchange.
Cancellations: Any order canceled more than 24 hours after purchase may be subject to up to a 30% restocking fee, whether the order has shipped or not. If the order has shipped, the customer is also responsible for the return shipping fees.
Non-Refundable Items:
Certain items are non-refundable and cannot be returned for a refund or exchange. These include:
- All Parts: All sales of parts are final and cannot be returned.
- Batteries: All battery sales are final and cannot be returned.
- Customized Products: Any products that have been customized or made to order, including lift chairs with upgrades or other modifications.
- Hygiene-Related Items: Products that have been opened or used and may pose hygiene risks, such as cushions or personal mobility aids.
- Sale Items: Any items purchased at a discounted price or during a promotional sale are considered final sale and are not eligible for returns or refunds.
